As Tiffany says, the "back and forth nature" of this story is part of its charm. It is faintly reminiscent of William Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury in that you see the same events and details through different eyes. I enjoyed the focus of the story -- it brought back some vivid memories of youthful days at the beach on the other coast (in California).

I adored this story. It took me back to the summers when I owned the world while it kept me wrapped up in today and my kids. Keep writing, I'll definitely keep reading.

So real, so sweet. I could picture him setting on that hood. I could almost feel the breeze and smell the country side. Makes me long for those simple pleasures of the senses. Including the first kiss.

great story, I'm always a fan or your writings and I like that this one took a different direction from the others I read before. The narrative is comical! Good job
