The Contest: Week 3

The submissions continue to roll in and I continue to be amazed.  I know I’ve said this before but reading your title suggestions is endless fun as I try and picture what approach you’ve decided to take in crafting the three or so words you choose to submit.

This week was all about mood and trying to capture some of the emotions surrounding the paradox at the heart of all my main characters.  That sounded very literary.  But that’s what most of the titles from the past seven days seemed to be striving for.  Or people are just stringing together words they found inside of fortune cookies.  What do I know?

There are also interesting patterns emerging.  Apparently nobody likes to be creative early in the week, so it’s not just me.  And nobody seems to like Mondays.  Just like Garfield.  Boy, does that cat like lasagna.

On a technical note (or lack thereof) for some reason the link to a printer friendly version of the entire Matthew and Epp story was causing major difficulties, so I had to remove it.  You can still go to each section one by one and print them out if you want to.  I’m not sure if anyone was actually printing out the entire book but it was an option I wanted to offer and I will be working on putting it back in such a way that it doesn’t cause the entire site to go all flibbity-floo.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Now I need to go ponder this “Write a Novel in a Month” thing.
